About You

The primary responsibility of a Regional Content Writer (English & Chinese) is to support content initiatives in the required languages according to overall content pillars, strategy, as well as content management activities to execute communication materials that drive Carsome's brand value offering and thought leadership across Carsome’s active markets within the region.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Write content that supports regional objectives, primarily in English and translated to Chinese dialects.
  • Support other departments in English and Chinese - including but not limited to - reviews, proofreading, and writing for SMS, blog articles, infographics, video outlines and scripts, newsletters, and internal communications.
  • Produce well-researched content for publication online in the blog or for media syndication, as well as propose monthly topics to establish Carsome as a thought leader and knowledgeable source of information on cars.
  • Write and review content for existing and new landing pages for the main website.
  • Utilize industry best practices and familiarity with the organization's mission to inspire ideas and content.
  • Follow an editorial calendar, collaborating with other members of the team to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Provide content support in brainstorming, planning and curating creative copies or content ideas for regional marketing campaigns to best reach local audiences.
  • Explore new types of content to improve engagement with the audience i.e. quiz, poll, interactive content.
  • Ensure grammatical and factual accuracy with strict attention-to-detail while guarding brand standards.
  • Provide content support for relevant marketing departments according to goals aligned, as and when required.
  • Provide content support in both ideation and writing for internal communication for Carsome’s departments including Human Resource, or other communication means.

Your Know-How

  • A minimum of 3 years’ of content marketing, content writing and/or copywriting experience
  • Excellent command of speaking and writing Chinese dialects is a must
  • Excellent command of English and preferably experience of writing for digital media
  • Knowledge of the local automotive industry is desirable and cars in general is desirable.
  • Basic digital media knowledge on publishing platforms, social media, SEO and Google Analytics
  • Strong work ethic, with an excellent track record of delivering content in a coherent editorial policy framework
  • A problem solver who is dynamic, motivated and process oriented with the determination to succeed
  • Confident team player and excellent organisation skills
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as being a team player
