About You :

We are looking for IR/ER Specialist who can be our strategic advisor and subject-matter expert on matters related to local labour law The purpose of this role is to provide specialized advice and support in IR/ER while maintaining employee/employer harmony within Carsome Malaysia


  • Proposes, drafts and implements group-level policies and follows through with localized implementation of such policies and its periodic updates and its communications.
  • Maintain an overview of regulatory obligations to ensure compliance to the regulations
  • Support the HR team in any implementation of HR initiatives and processes
  • Main point of contact and liaison for any employment matters that involves government relations, industrial relations and employee relations
  • Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars.
  • Responsible for all IR cases in Malaysia
  • Lead investigator and coordinator in all investigation procedures
  • Involving whistleblowing, fraud, bribery, sexual harassment & etc cases.


  • At least 5 years’ of experience in Industrial Relations, Employee Relations or Labour Relations.
  • Degree / Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or equivalent
  • Strong and up to date knowledge of relevant HR legislation e.g. Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act
  • Strong knowledge of data protection regulations
  • Strong knowledge of immigration regulations
  • Certification in IR/ER
  • Exceptional ability to converse and communicate in English & Bahasa Malaysia both written and spoken
  • Experience of analysing data, identifying patterns and trends and developing proposals to address findings
  • Ability to present, propose and secure buy in from stakeholders to facilitate changes in processes
  • Able to communicate well with all levels of people
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Experience in HR principles and IR practices
  • Knowledge of EA
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Sensitive to numbers and attentive to details
  • Well-organized, good in coordination, meticulous and detailed oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven organisational skills and able to meet tight deadlines and priorities conflicting demands
