Job Overview:

The Head of Treasury will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial assets, investments, and risk management strategies. This individual will play a critical role in financial decision-making, spearheading the transformation of manual processes into automated systems, and will report directly to the CFO.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cash Management: Oversee the company's cash flow, ensuring efficient management of funds and liquidity. Implement and maintain systems for cash management and forecasting.
  2. Financial Strategy and Analysis: Develop and execute strategies for optimizing the company’s financial operations and capital structure. Conduct financial risk assessments and implement risk management strategies.
  3. Investment and Funding: Manage the company’s investment portfolio, including short-term and long-term investment strategies. Oversee funding strategies and activities, including debt and equity financing.
  4. Process Automation and System Implementation: Lead the transformation from manual processes to automated systems and software in treasury operations to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  5. Banking and Financial Relationships: Maintain and develop relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors. Negotiate terms and conditions for financial services and instruments.
  6. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. Prepare and present financial reports to the CFO and other stakeholders.
  7. Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures to mitigate financial risks, including currency, interest rate, and credit risks.
  8. Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and upskill the treasury team in new technologies and automated systems. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
  9. Strategic Projects: Collaborate with other departments on strategic projects, providing financial insights and expertise, especially in areas requiring banking, investment and risk management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in treasury, finance, or a related field, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, banking relationships, and automated financial systems.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in financial software, Microsoft Office Suite, and experience in implementing financial automation tools.
