Role Summary

We’re seeking a skilled Software Engineer proficient in PHP and Vue.js to build scalable, high-performance web applications that power critical features for diverse CARSOME users. You’ll be part of a dynamic engineering squad, collaborating closely with product owners, UX designers, and fellow developers to deliver impactful solutions.

Your Day - To - Day

  • Design and develop robust backend services and REST APIs using PHP, integrated with relational databases (e.g., MySQL or PostgreSQL).
  • Implement rich, responsive front-end experiences using Vue.js, ensuring smooth interactivity and maintainability.
  • Collaborate on end-to-end feature development with cross-functional teams—product, design, QA—within an Agile environment.
  • Maintain high code quality by performing code reviews, writing unit/integration tests, and optimizing for performance.
  • Troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvements across the full stack of applications.
  • Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and promote best practices in development and architecture.

Your - Know - How

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline—or demonstrable equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with PHP, paired with JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Expertise in Vue.js for front-end application development. Solid understanding of RESTful API design, microservices architectures, and MVC frameworks like Laravel or Yii.
  • Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), and optionally, search technologies like Elasticsearch or Apache SOLR.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and test-driven development (TDD).
