Carsome is Southeast Asia's largest integrated car e-commerce platform, transforming how people buy, sell, own and experience cars. As we execute our ambitious Ecosystem strategy, we're seeking an exceptional VP of Design to architect and lead the creation of seamless, integrated customer experiences across our entire value chain.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role reporting directly to senior leadership. You'll own design across our diverse portfolio — Car Marketplace, Retail and Wholesale transactions, Financing and the complete car ownership journey. Your mission is to create cohesive customer experiences that work beautifully across both digital products and physical touchpoints.

You'll serve as a strategic partner to Product, Engineering, and Business leaders as the voice of design excellence at the executive level. Your Day-to-Day

  • Define and champion the design vision for Carsome's integrated ecosystem, partnering with Product, Engineering, and Business leadership to co-own product strategy across all business units
  • Architect end-to-end customer experiences connecting iCar (discovery) through Retail and Wholesale transactions to Capital (financing and insurance) and the complete car ownership journey, collaborating with cross-functional partners who own various touchpoints
  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing design organization—developing design managers, establishing team rituals and standards, and recruiting senior talent to strengthen capabilities
  • Drive design excellence through measurable outcomes—establishing KPIs for design quality, team performance, and customer experience impact across the ecosystem
  • Serve as the voice of design at the executive level, advocating for customer-centric approaches in strategic discussions with senior leadership

Your Know-How

  • 10+ years in design with 5+ years leading and scaling design teams in complex, multi-product environments; proven track record managing managers and developing design leaders who run their own teams
  • Strong hands-on design capabilities with an exceptional portfolio—you can both do the work at a high level and lead teams to do it; experience operating at VP or equivalent level, interfacing with executive leadership and driving organizational strategy
  • Deep expertise in service design and journey mapping across long customer lifecycles; experience designing ecosystems where multiple products work together seamlessly across digital and physical touchpoints
  • Data-informed approach that balances qualitative insights, quantitative evidence, and design intuition; comfortable with ambiguity and complexity, with a bias for action and shipping excellent work
