JOB DESCRIPTION – HEAD OF STRATEGY (WHOLESALES AND B2C)
As the Head of Strategy, you will report to the General Manager, Operation (Malaysia) C2B and B2C team. The role is required to actively identify scalable new avenues of growth, and to assess the feasibility of new growth initiatives and to lead reapplication of winning approaches across the country.
As the Head of Strategy, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the overall strategic plan for the company. Your primary focus will be to identify new business opportunities, establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, and drive profitable growth. Support the CARSOME’s sales team in execution and implementation of strategy and plans, across Operations, Business Intelligence, Strategy and Financial Planning.
- Develop and implement the company's strategic plan and vision, including market analysis, competitive positioning, and growth opportunities.
- Identify potential areas of growth for the company, and develop strategies to capitalize on those opportunities.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and business partners.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Analyze financial data and develop financial models to support strategic decision-making.
- Work collaboratively with the executive team to develop and execute business plans.
- Manage and mentor a team of analysts and other professionals to support the company's strategic objectives.
- Strong aptitude in building rapid scale.
- Experience managing stakeholders using influence.
- Strong capabilities with scenario building and driving change.
- Commercial experience in sales and/or marketing within the automotive industry will be a plus.
- Proficient in data analysis and office suite, proven record as a strong individual contributor with some experience in managing a team or indirect stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in developing and executing strategic plans in the automotive industry, preferably in a wholesale car dealership environment.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
